18-1 Rinehart Target
I have been using this archery target for 2 years and have been extremely happy with it. It is a unique target in that it is made to be used with both field points and broadheads interchangeably. This target is a solid one piece of self-healing, easy-pull foam. Unlike many other solid foam targets, such as most 3-D targets, it is very easy to pull arrows out of, and no arrow lubricant is necessary. This target is also extremely durable, I shoot mostly field points at it, but do shoot some broadheads and if you didn’t look closely this target would look brand new, and I shoot every day over the summer.
Although I love this target there are two drawbacks. The first is that the target faces are black with lime green paint, but the circles are actually black which makes it hard to aim at an exact point on the target face and difficult to see at long distances. I like to aim at a very small point because if you aim small you miss small. I have fixed this problem with a small modification. I had some neon orange spray paint lying around the house so I used it paint my own aiming points on the target face. I used it to make smaller points to aim at and it has also increased the visibility. The only other downfall of this target is that it has a fairly small target surface, which does not allow for much error. This limits the distance that I will practice at with this target with because I am worried about missing the small target face and have an arrow flying with nothing to stop it.
Overall I could not be happier with this target and would strongly recommend it. It allows you to have only one target to use with field points and broadheads. It is also one of the most durable targets on the market which is evident by its one year warranty that says that they will give you a brand new target if you can wear this target out within a year. To me this warranty shows the confidence that Rinehart has in this target. Also, it is a very portable target that is fairly light and has a very nice carry rope built into it. It also sits very well on the ground and you don’t have to worry about it moving or falling over. If you are looking for a single target that can be used for a variety of uses, and will last you a very long time then this is the perfect target for you. Thank you Rinehart for developing such a great product.
