iPhone and Android Apps for Archery and Bowhunting


 

Smartphones and tablets seem to be taking over the world lately!  Read on for some of the apps available to archers and bowhunters for both the iPhone, iPad and Android devices.  Know of a great app that isn’t listed?  Let me know!

Archery Score:   Keep track of all your scores, includes targets and impact points.

Archery Tool:  Calculate KE, FOC along with tuning tips and a glossary of archery terms.

Archery Companion:  Score keeper that allows creation of custom sheets to use with any type archery round.

Android Bowhunting Apps

My Tracks:  A GPS tracking tool that let’s you keep track of your travel along with statistics and the ability to share with others.

Time2Hunt Lite:  Solar and lunar data, best time to hunt predictions, sunrise and sunset.  (Full paid version available, no ads)

Compass:  Like the name, a full feature compass app including geo-tagged notes.

Sundroid:  Sunrise and sunset times, anywhere in the world. (Paid “Pro” version available)

ScoreMyRack:  Calculator for score racks for whitetail, mule deer, blacktail and elk.  (Premium version with pdf creation, score saving and photo tagging)

ScoutLook Hunting Weather:  Map based weather for hunters including solar and lunar data.  Everything to let a hunter know all weather conditions including scent cones.

Archery Score Free: Keep track of your scores on the target face

TargetMate: Score your arrows by touching the impact sites on the target.  Also provides statistics and analysis.

iArcheryScores:  Exact placement of arrow impacts by dragging and dropping your shots.  Will export results via email.

Iphone Bowhunting Apps

Field and Stream Rut Reporters:  Track the rut activity in any area with up to date reports and mapping of rutting activity.

Sunrise Sunset Lite: Displays solar data including sunrise, sunset, dawn, solar noon, dusk and duration.  (Paid version available includes custom and recent locations, sun position)

Realtree Archery Hunting Tips:  Just like the name says, a collection of tips for bowhunters

Realtree’s Weather Base Station:  Radar, general weather and lunar phase information.  (paid addon shows game activity index, barometer trending, and lightning)

Hunt Call Pro:  Features recordings of calls, rattles, and even moose calls.  (Make sure it is legal in your area before using!)

Archery Score is spam. Kept giving me advertisements. I uninstalled it. Cabelas Recon Hunt is nice assuming you can get a data connection which 90% of the time you can’t in the northwest hunting elk. I like Gaia GPS which allows you to pre download the maps for use when you don’t have a data connection.
