For 2012 APA has introduced seven new bows that run the gamut from high-speed demon to super short hunters and longer ATA tack drivers. There is something for nearly every archer, so take a look at the offerings.
As always, APA throws in some cool features that no other bow can match. Built into every bow is a nock and broadhead wrench, and the snake-fang machined right into the riser for hanging the bow. On all models except the sidewinder, there is also a carbide sharpener and built-in handle that also forms the bridge of the riser. All of the bows also come with the Cam Lock feature which locks the cam into place, allowing the strings and cables to be replaced or other work to be done on the bow without the need for a bow press.

I have a 2011 Pit Viper and absolutely love it. The new line up looks great but Im not so sure of the differences. It would be nice to see a lightweight bow come from these guys but until that happens ill stick with the one i have until i hunt large game than ill go for their dual cam.
I’ve yet to shoot an APA other than a few shots here and there and hope to shoot one more in the (near) future. 3.4 lbs. isn’t light enough?
It is. I shot a Hoyt and a lower end Limbsaver when i was in the market for my first bow. I ended up ordering the APA from the factory (which believe me is not actually very large). Great guys to deal with. I will be hard pressed to change to another make until something seriously wrong happens and makes me mad haha. What other bows look hot for 2012? I might have to go try them our
Lots of good looking stuff. Hoyt’s Carbons with the RKT and the Vector Turbo, PSE Bow Madness and Bear Anarchy are all looking pretty sweet to me. Still waiting to see what Bowtech has up their sleeve and I’d like to shoot the Mathews M8 as well. Strother, Elite, Prime, K&K, tons of good stuff! I need to get out and shoot them all…
So will be reading your report in early 2012 on How the bows shoot.
I asked for a price on the Viper XL35 but I can not get any one that can tell me more than the price.
For the value of the bow I would like more info if possible. It seems like a great 3D & Target bow & I like the singel cam with the high end speed.
But how true is it?
I was wondering if anyone heard or seen the new bow(s) from Bowtech ? (called the Insane ??)
Do you know if they are deeling with an agent in South Africa?
The Mamba XL 39 cought my eye.
Eddie, so far their dealerships are limited to a few shops in the USA. Unfortunately I do not have one near me either. I’m hoping that as I do some business travel this year I can find a shop that stocks them and give them a try.
Thank you Michael & Thanks for a great site.
