2012 Bear Archery – Anarchy, Siren, Legion, Encounter, Outbreak, Apprentice 2

Bear Archery’s big news for the year is the introduction of the Anarchy.  In these times when bow ATAs seem to be shrinking faster than new cotton t-shirts, Bear has listened to many archers and come out with a mid-length ATA in the Anarchy, which is comes in at 35 1/4″.  It’s no slouch in the speed department either, being rated at 340 FPS with a fairly generous brace height of 7 1/4″.  Also new for the year is the Siren, a bow squarely aimed at the lady shooters and on paper it looks to be quite an improvement from 2011′s Home Wrecker.  Coming in at 300 FPS (at 27″) with a 6 3/4″ brace height, it has to the potential be a big winner this year.

Also introduced this year are the Legion and Encounter, which are aggressively priced mid-range bows.  The new Outbreak is a bow that sports a massive draw weight range of 15 to 70 lbs and draw lengths from 16 to 30″, all while achieving an IBO rating of 308 fps.  It should be an interesting bow for growing archers that can server them for many years.  Lastly, the Apprentice gets updated to version 2 and and upgrade to a max draw weight of 60 lbs.
