For 2012, Elite is adding one new bow to the line and keeping all of last year’s bows as well, along with a few updates. New for the year is the “Answer” which caters to both 3D archers and hunters.
New for all of Elite’s 2012 bows are an adjustable cable rod and redesigned string suppressor. These both feature a new locking system that uses the standard locking screw, but instead of screwing directly to the rods it wedges the rods in place to minimize screw damage to the rods. Also, there are two sets of mounting holes in the sight window so as to be able to mount the sight in the high or low position. This will be a great feature that helps eliminate some issues people have when getting certain sights to line up properly.

The Answer fits somewhere between 2011′s Pulse, Pure and Hunter when looking at the specs. With 340 fps and a 7″ brace height, it’s a good performing bow. An ATA of 33 1/2″ is just shorter than the Pulse and the 7″ brace height is one inch longer than the Pulse, yet the speed is nearly the same. Cams on the answer appear to have more in common with the cams on the Hunter, though they do seem more oblong. Answer bows will ship with the smooth mod installed, and speed mods can be purchased separately.
One thing that seems a bit strange is the rather limited draw lengths available, only a three inch range between 27 and 30″. While the draw lengths may be limited, the peak draw weights have a generous range of between 40 and 80 lbs.
