Learning to grip your bow properly can be the difference between success and frustration. Consistency is the key and using your body’s natural forms and positions is the easiest way to repeat perfect form.

Regarding the wrist position: I am reading a book on traditional archery and it talks about the wrist position. It mentions various positions for the wrist and you can replicate these various positions by simply extending your arm and holding an imaginary bow. Then flex your wrist or hand up and down and you’ll see the picture. The book says the best and easiest position to duplicate is one where the wrist is in line with the arm and hand like it would be if you were throwing a punch, at least that is how I would describe it. Any thoughts? I noticed in the video your hand is cocked up.
I am into archery only 6 months but practice a lot and learn mostly by trial and error and this video was helpful because I know I sometimes torque the bow and the shot goes off. I will try the hand position you mention.
