Michael Braden, Bret York, and Jack Gibson have come up with a new archery round that they are calling the World Series of Archery. The idea is to give more people a chance to pull off a win in such a tournament by putting a huge emphasis on the final arrow shot. This final arrow is shot at the middle, small target after a round of 32 arrows. The first 32 arrows are scored at a maximum of 11, for a total of 352, and the final arrow as well has a maximum of 11. These targets go to ELEVEN! (sorry, I couldn’t resist the Spinal Tap reference) One slight flinch on the last arrow could cause a huge loss of points. It’s an interesting concept and one I’d certainly like to try. More information can be found at the World Series of Archery home page.
