I think that Nockturnal lighted nocks should be included in this they have a unique design that have an internal switch that is pushed by the string moving forward i have had no problems with them so far that i have used them very affordable as well only $25 for 3 of them, i used tracer nocks before them and i did not like them at all since they were a pain to turn off and everything with the magnet and you have to find a place to mount the magnet on your bow. and you only get 2 in a pack. nocturnal are the best in my book you should try them out and add them to the test.

Hello, Thank you for what seems to be a fair assesmant of our lighted nock choices. I did see a couple of problems with the evaluation of the Lumenok. You claim that there is no index mark on the nock. Not true. The picture above shows the bump at the base of the Bohning Signature nock that is there on all of our Lumenok Signatures. In the instructions I make it a point to instruct the user to never twist the Lumenok to turn it off. Instead I say to wiggle the nock back and forth to create some separation between the contacts and the arrow.
Last is brightness. You were comparing our Green nock to red ones of G5 and Firenock. My red is brighter than either. Red LEDs provide more light by nature, and the ones that we use are as bright as any on the market.
We have made improvements in the weight and function of the Lumenok for 2010. If you would like to evaluate those, please give us a call. They are tougher than the Firenock and I recommend a foam earplug instead of offering an Extreme Impact component. Lumenok is also made in the USA It stands alone in that regard.
