The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has posted it’s 2009 Elk Hunting Forecast. Things are looking pretty good this year for elk hunters.
Normal summer moisture in 2008 and a mild winter across most of the West left elk herds in great shape over nearly every nook and cranny of North America. Conditions are stacked for a memorable elk season no matter where you hunt. Get out there and savor every minute of it you can.
