During a Colorado elk scouting trip in July 2009, Harry and his hunting partner Mike came upon something out of a dream. As Harry neared a stream he had heard and wanted to investigate, he found something much better than a potential water source that might attract deer or elk to the area. What he saw was a massive seven point elk antler right in the middle of the stream. To make this find even more magical, not even five feet away was the matching antler!

The sheds have been measured by a certified Boone and Crocket scorer at an estimated 422 5/8 gross non-typical inches with a net score of 410 3/8 inches. They have an estimated 41 5/8 inch spread and amazing thirteen inch bases. This would rank them as number eleven in the North American Shed Hunters records. Needless to say, if shot with either bow or gun it would rank very high in the record books.
Harry and Mike will be hunting for this monster bull starting August 29th during the Colorado archery season and ArcheryReport.com wishes them the best of luck! Hopefully we will have a follow up story on the harvest of this magnificent animal.
Please do not ask where they were found, because I do not know the exact location other than that it is on public land in Colorado. Unfortunately I know it is probably not the area I will be hunting though you never know what treasures you might find in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Excellent article. I believe that if more people tried bow hunting, they would be surprised how much fun this can be. I invite you and your readers to visit my new site, Silent Draw Outdoors. This is a new breed of hunting and outdoor adventure. Watch bow archery hunting videos of big game in North America.
